Creative Wet Felting Workshop
Creative Wet Felting Workshop
Date & Time: 10am - 3pm

What is Wet felting? A technique used to create fabric from wool. It involves layering loose wool fibers, applying warm water and soap, and then agitating the fibers through rubbing or rolling. This process causes the fibers to interlock and form a dense, felted fabric.
Learn the Basics: Discover the art of wet felting and complete your very own felted picture. This workshop will teach you how to bring perspective into your work and use color and materials to produce stunning effects.

About Your Tutor: Nicola is an experienced teacher and practising artist. She has been creating felt pictures inspired by local landscapes and and running workshops in her Montgomeryshire home and at schools and galleries for many years. She is a passionate, skilled and experienced tutor who will guide you through the process and encourage you to develop your ideas while teaching you basic techniques and new skills.

Learn how to create a stunning wreath that will last for months to come. Perfect to adorn your front door for both spring and summer. Using a variety of high-quality natural foliage and dried blooms grown in Shropshire, you will create a wreath that is both beautiful and long-lasting.
During our workshop, your tutors will guide you through the process of creating your own floral creation using a variety of techniques and materials. You will learn how to choose the right flowers and foliage to create a balanced and harmonious design to create a finished product that you will be proud to display in your home.

About Your Tutors: Nicola Knapton is an experienced teacher and practising artist. Nicola is a passionate, skilled, and experienced teacher who will guide you through the process while encouraging you to develop your ideas and learn new skills.
Daughter Alice is the founder and co-owner of Hare Hill Farm near Craven Arms. In 2017 She and her husband Liam set up a smallholding on a seven acre parcel of bare land in the Shropshire Hills, with a view to create a low impact way of living. They grow a variety of fruit, vegetables and flowers along with producing their own lamb and free range eggs.
